Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Easy, skinny tastilicious dip

I LOVE a good dip don’t you? There’s something so comforting about dipping something yummy into a bowl of something yummy. It’s the double yummy!

When I first started dipping my dip of choice was chips with french onion dip – oh goodness, big on fat and not much nutritional value there. Then I flipped to the other extreme with rice crackers and salsa – these were clearly my Weight Watchers days. Now I’ve brought it back to somewhere in the middle with great flavour, low fat, big health and mucho taste.

Meet my Roasted Red Pepper Hummus:


This dip is so incredibly tasty and is made in under 5 minutes. Now that’s a dip worth making, yes? All you need is a jar of store bought roasted peppers (capsicum), a can of chickpeas, a clove of garlic, a lemon, a pinch of cumin, salt and chilli. Whack it all into a food processor or blender and you’re done – after a little blitzing that is.

Honestly this is the easiest and tastiest dip around. Serve it with vegetable sticks, crackers, even smear it on a sandwich. YUM!
