Homemade Hummus


Serves 8

Low fat Mediterranean dip – earthy chickpeas blended with garlic, tahini, lemon, a little yogurt and a touch of cumin.

Per serving: 414kj (98.92cal); 3.7g total fat (0.79g saturated fat)


You’ll need

1 x 450gm can chickpeas, drained
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
4 tbsp low fat greek yogurt
Sml pinch cumin
Salt & pepper

Let’s go

Put everything in the food processor or blender and whiz until smooth. If you like more texture in your hummus, pulse until you get the right consistency.

Why it’s good for you
Dips can be high calorie havens. Moodie dips have all the flavour without the high fat content. Lovely low fat hummus.
