Baked Brie with Fresh Fruit

A little something special for the weekend

Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Clear your mind. Now think of warm, gooey baked brie drizzled over fresh slices of peach, a cold sweet grape or a crispy slice of apple. Mmmmmmm, sweet and savoury, soft and crunchy, delicious and deliciouser (is that a word?). Now open your eyes and feast on this


Oh yummaliciousness in the extreme and a must for this weekend: baked brie with fresh fruit. I’m nearly passing out with longing just thinking about it. Now you may be thinking that this looks awfully difficult but it’s not. In fact, it’s easier than an easy thing – you stud the cheese with a few slices of garlic, pour over a little sweet wine and bake it in the oven for 20 minutes.

Instant mini fondue! You can serve it with anything you like – bread, crackers, crudite – but I love mine with fruit. There’s something lovely about cheese with fruit don’t you think? And warm cheese with fruit? Even better……
